UTA Signs ‘For All Mankind’s Toby Kebbell

EXCLUSIVE: UTA has signed actor Toby Kebbell for representation in all areas.

Currently leading the cast of Apple’s alt-history space-race drama For All Mankind, Kebbell previously starred for four seasons in the streamer’s psychological thriller Servant from M. Night Shyamalan. Additional TV credits include Black Mirror, The Street, and the modern BBC adaptation of Macbeth.

In film, Kebbell will next be seen portraying film producer Robert Chartoff in Peter Farrelly’s I Play Rocky. He’s coming off Salvable, an indie boxing crime drama where he starred opposite Shia LaBeouf.

Kebbell’s career has also included collaborations with Steven Spielberg (War Horse), Ridley Scott (The Counselor), Timur Bekmambetov (Ben-Hur), Robert Redford (The Conspirator), Mike Newell (Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time), Matt Reeves (Dawn of the Planet of the Apes), and Guy Ritchie (RocknRolla). His major franchise work includes portraying Koba in Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, Durotan in Duncan Jones’s Warcraft, Doctor Doom in Fantastic Four, and performing both a live-action role and motion-capture work for Kong: Skull Island.

The actor first gained recognition with his feature film debut in Shane Meadows’s Dead Man’s Shoes, earning a British Independent Film Award nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. He quickly followed with roles in Oliver Stone’s Alexander and Woody Allen’s Match Point before hitting on a breakthrough with Control, a film where he played Joy Division manager Rob Gretton that earned him the BIFA for Best Supporting Actor and a London Critics’ Circle Film Award nomination.

On stage, Kebbell has performed at the Almeida Theatre in Enemies, directed by Michael Attenborough, and at the Playhouse Theatre in R.C. Sherriff’s Journey’s End. He continues to be represented by Untitled Entertainment, PMK Entertainment, and Huy Nguyen and Steve Warren, LLP.
