One person died and two others were wounded after a brawl outside a bar in Tarlac City ended in a shooting by an alleged policeman.
In a report by GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on Wednesday, the incident occurred outside a bar along a bypass road in Tarlac City.
“Nagkarambulan sila sa labas ng bar na kung saan sila umiinom. Parang yung suspek, nakita niya yung mga kasama niya na nakukuyog kaya siya naglabas ng baril at nagpaputok,” said Police Lt. Con. Glen Santiago, chief, Tarlac City Police Station.
(There was a fight outside the bar where the two groups were drinking. The suspect allegedly fired his gun when he saw his companions being beaten up.)
Three persons were hit by gunfire from the suspect and were brought to a hospital. One of them died while being treated.
The 36-year-old suspect was arrested who was allegedly an officer of the law, initial report said.
A .45 caliber handgun was seized from him.
The suspect was placed in an inquest proceeding and is facing charges of homicide and frustrated homicide.
