All Creatures Great and Small cast: Who stars in season 7 of the 5 period drama?
All Creatures Great and Small returns for season 7 with Skeldale House full once again as the Yorkshire Dales settle into a hopeful new chapter in 1946.
The war is over, and the official synopsis finds James Herriot excited by new developments in veterinary medicine, only for the arrival of a rival vet to threaten the settled status quo in Darrowby.
"The world at large may be changing, but inside this slice of Yorkshire, the Dales will always offer the same perfect escapism," continues the synopsis.
"Packed with warmth, humour and community spirit, the series brings more heartwarming tales of people and animals alike."
Nicholas Ralph, Rachel Shenton, Samuel West, Callum Woodhouse and Anna Madeley all return, alongside several other familiar faces and some new additions.

The most significant new addition is Caolan McCarthy as Granville Bennett, a slick small-animal vet who begins to encroach on Skeldale's territory.

Nicholas Ralph as James Herriot
About the character: James is the young Scottish vet at the heart of the series, now firmly settled in Darrowby and married to Helen. In season 7, he is energised by fresh advances in veterinary medicine, but the arrival of a rival practitioner unsettles the balance he has worked to build.
Where you've seen Nicholas Ralph before: All Creatures Great and Small was Ralph's breakthrough screen role after training at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, and he has led the show since its 2020 launch.
Rachel Shenton as Helen Herriot
About the character: Helen is James's wife and a farmer's daughter deeply woven into the fabric of the Dales community, balancing family life with the demands of the practice.
Where you've seen Rachel Shenton before: Shenton is an Oscar-winning writer and actor, having won an Academy Award for her short film The Silent Child, and is known on television for Hollyoaks and Switched at Birth.
Samuel West as Siegfried Farnon
About the character: Siegfried is the mercurial senior partner at Skeldale House. His developing relationship with Dorothy is a key thread this season, with reports suggesting it places a strain on his rapport with Mrs Hall.
Where you've seen Samuel West before: West is an established stage and screen actor whose credits include Mr Selfridge, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell and Slow Horses, as well as extensive theatre work.
Callum Woodhouse as Tristan Farnon
About the character: Tristan is Siegfried's charming younger brother. In season 7, he remains together with Charlotte as the pair continue to deepen their bond.
Where you've seen Callum Woodhouse before: Woodhouse played Leslie Durrell in ITV's The Durrells before joining All Creatures Great and Smalk.
Anna Madeley as Mrs Hall
About the character: Mrs Hall is Skeldale's steadfast housekeeper and the emotional anchor of the household. Her long-running closeness with Siegfried is tested as his attentions turn towards her friend Dorothy.
Where you've seen Anna Madeley before: Madeley's television work includes The Crown, Deadwater Fell, The Child in Time and Patrick Melrose.
Gaia Wise as Charlotte Beauvoir
About the character: A "society beauty" and Tristan's girlfriend. When we meet them in season 7, they're in a good place, but Charlotte is restless and there's a suggestion she might leave Darrowby.
Where you've seen Gaia Wise before: She has appeared in The Chelsea Detective and Silent Witness. Other credits include the films A Walk in the Woods and Dead of Winter.
Maimie McCoy as Dorothy
About the character: A friend of Mrs Hall's who is dating Siegfried. She returned from Malta in last year's Christmas special snf they kissed under some Mistletoe.
Where you've seen Maimie McCoy before: You might know her from Van der Valk, The Musketeers and The Couple Next Door.
Tony Pitts as Richard Alderson
About the character: Helen and Jenny's farmer father. He can be incredibly stubborn and stuck in his ways, but he loves his girls and usually comes around if an issue means a great deal to them.
Where you've seen Tony Pitts before: Emmerdale, Line of Duty, Jamestown, Peaky Blinders and Scott & Bailey are just some of the titles he's appeared in.
Imogen Clawson as Jenny
About the character: Helen's younger sister. She's studying to be a nurse in London.
Where you've seen Imogen Clawson before: This is her first TV role.
Patricia Hodge as Mrs Pumphrey
About the character: Mrs Pumphrey is the wealthy, warm-hearted owner of the famously pampered Pekingese Tricki Woo, and a favourite client of the practice.
Where you've seen Patricia Hodge before: Hodge is a veteran of British stage and screen, well known for Miranda, Rumpole of the Bailey and The Life and Loves of a She-Devil. She took over the role of Mrs Pumphrey following the death of Dame Diana Rigg.
Mollie Winnard as Maggie
About the character: A barmaid at The Drovers. Her husband was killed serving on the front line and she's now raising their child alone.
Where you've seen Mollie Winnard before: Her credits include Happy Valley and Coronation Street.
Caolan McCarthy as Granville Bennett
About the character: Granville Bennett is the season's key new arrival, a small-animal vet who comes to Darrowby and starts to encroach on Skeldale House's patch, threatening the practice's status quo. Cast members have teased that he may not be who he initially appears to be.
Where you've seen Caolan McCarthy before: The Tyrone-born actor appeared as Uncle Sammie in Kenneth Branagh's Belfast (2021), but has built his career largely on stage, with credits including Amelie, Once and The Plough and the Stars at the National Theatre. A RADA graduate and multi-instrumentalist, he received a Grammy nomination as a principal soloist on the original London cast recording of Amelie.

- Thomas Riches as Jimmy Herriot and Isabella Ward as Rosie Herriot - James and Helen's children.
- Bruce Alexander (A Touch of Frost, Gentleman Jack) as Geoff Hatfield - he runs the local sweet shop. His cat Alfred is unwell.
