Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing confirms line-up of celebrities taking part - including Katie Price and Suella Braverman

Channel 4 has confirmed the full line-up for Celebrity Handcuffed, the star-studded spin-off of its surprise hit Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing, with Katie Price and former home secretary Suella Braverman among the mismatched pairs to be chained together around the clock.

The broadcaster unveiled five deliberately opposite pairings, placing celebrities with differing views, lifestyles and backgrounds in handcuffs 24/7 in what it describes as the ultimate test of survival.

In addition to Price and Braverman, other pairs include former England footballer Neil "Razor" Ruddock alongside drag star Bimini, Atomic Kitten singer Kerry Katona with Made in Chelsea's Mark-Francis Vandelli, and socialite Lady Victoria Hervey with reality star and women's rights campaigner Georgia Harrison MBE. Completing the line-up, celebrity DJ Fat Tony is handcuffed to aristocrat Princess Olga Romanov.

Celebrity Handcuffed arrives off the back of the strong performance of the civilian series, which Channel 4 has also recommissioned for a second run with Jonathan Ross returning as host. The opening episode of the first season drew more than 2 million streaming views and reached a 24.3 per cent share among 16 to 34-year-olds, 140 per cent above the slot average.

Ross, who will be back presiding as host, said he could not wait to see how the celebrity version played out. "I've done my fair share of celebrity shows, but nothing quite like this. It's chaotic, it's hilarious, and I'm so excited for viewers to see what happens when you handcuff a group of famous faces together and put them under pressure," he said. "It could of course be a disaster. But it could also be the best thing on TV next year!"

Commissioned by Channel 4's documentaries and factual entertainment team and produced by 72 Films, the format pairs people who disagree on almost everything and asks them to coexist at close quarters. Tim Hancock, Channel 4 commissioning editor, said the celebrity version "takes a format audiences couldn't stop talking about and supercharges it with some truly unexpected pairings".

He added: "Just like the civilian series, the celebrity version will be laugh-out-loud funny, gloriously awkward and full of surprises, and will capture something bigger about modern Britain: even when we seem to disagree on almost everything, we might have more in common than we think."

Amy Willetts, series producer, 72 Films commented: "Bringing together celebrities from wildly different worlds, Celebrity Handcuffed asks what happens when big egos collide. At its heart, it's a celebration of friendship and tolerance, giving viewers a fresh look and understanding of the famous faces they thought they knew. But for those who crack under the pressure, expect fireworks."

No release date has been announced for either the celebrity edition or the second civilian series, but filming is currently underway for the celebrity series.

Celebrity Handcuffed and Handcuffed: Last Pair Standing are coming soon to Channel 4.
