There was an unfortunate incident after Cagliari’s 1-0 victory over Frosinone, as a supporter fell from the stands trying to salute the players, who rushed to his aid.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the fall occurred as the squad was walking over to thank the fans for their support several minutes after the final whistle of today’s Serie A encounter.
Cagliari accident mars victory

Captain Alessandro Deiola and goalkeeper Elia Caprile were the first to realise what had happened, and rushed over to help him.
An ambulance is always ready on the sidelines in top flight matches, and was called in take the supporter to the local hospital.
It’s reported the fan has been diagnosed with a fractured clavicle, but there are no more serious complications.
If all goes well, he should be released on Sunday to continue his recovery at home.

The Unipol Domus where the Sardinians play their home matches is a temporary structure, and was put in place while plans to reconstruct the Stadio Sant’Elia were worked through.
That arena now lies in ruins and is overgrown with vegetation just yards away from the current stadium.
