This is not the first matchup between the two fighters. Van and Pantoja battled each other in December, with Pantoja losing the belt. On the other side is Sharaf with a record of 4-2-0; there is reason to be concerned that Sharaf struggles in this match. He hasn’t had a fight since December 2025 and has lost his last two matches.
