After being promoted from League One in 2025, the main aim for Charlton last season was to avoid relegation and Nathan Jones helped them do precisely that as they finished 19th and six points off the bottom three.
It remains to be seen whether the Addicks can kick on and improve on last season but Jones's side are currently the second-favourites to be relegated to League One behind Lincoln City.
Derby, who recently received the news that their proposed takeover from Turki Al-Sheikh of Saudi Arabia was off, finished eighth in the Championship last season and just four points off the play-off spots.
If John Eustace's side, who lost 2-1 against Lincoln in their Carabao Cup first round clash last weekend, finish eighth again this campaign, it'll land them a play-off place given they've been expanded from four to six teams in the Championship.
