Two Nigerians nabbed with cocaine in Thailand
Thai authorities have detained two Nigerian men after six grammes of cocaine were found in their apartment at Pattaya in Chon Buri Province, Thailand.
In a report by Thaiger, the immigration officers retrieved the drug where it was hidden inside a cooker hood in their shared residential facilities last Friday.
The immigration officers from Chon Buri raided the Nigerians’ room following a tip-off that one of them was allegedly residing in Thailand illegally.
“Officers found two Nigerian men, aged 25 and 29. Immigration checks showed that one was staying in Thailand illegally, while the other had entered the country on a tourist visa.
“The room was searched for more than 20 minutes before officers found five small packages of cocaine wrapped in black tape and hidden inside the cooker hood. The drugs weighed around six grammes in total and were seized as evidence,” the report stated.

Also, preliminary urine tests uncovered traces of drugs in one of the men, while the other tested negative.
The suspects said they had obtained the cocaine from an acquaintance on their street in Pattaya and had not yet paid for it.
They added that the cocaine was intended for their use and denied planning to sell it.
“Both men were taken to Pattaya City Police Station for further legal proceedings while officers expanded the investigation into the supply network,” it added
