2027: Gombe youths pledge support for APC

The Gombawa Youth Congress has pledged to support the All Progressives Congress in Gombe State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The Chairman of the group, Hon. Sadiq Legacy, made the commitment while welcoming participants at an event organised by the association in Gombe.

Legacy said the organisation would continue to work towards improving the welfare of its members and supporting less privileged members of the community through various initiatives.

He said, “The Gombawa Youth Congress is committed to supporting the success of the APC in Gombe State ahead of the 2027 general elections.

“We will continue to do everything within our capacity to support initiatives that will improve the lives of our people, particularly the less privileged.”

Speaking at the event, the Gombe State Commissioner for Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Alleviation, Hon. Aishatu MB Ahmad, said the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya remained committed to addressing poverty and alleviating the economic hardship faced by residents.

Ahmad, who commended the Gombawa Youth Congress for organising the programme, described it as timely and necessary, thus, she urged residents of the state to support the APC ahead of the 2027 elections.

She said, “The administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya remains committed to tackling poverty and easing the economic hardship faced by our people.

“I commend the Gombawa Youth Congress for organising this programme. It is timely and necessary, especially at a time when efforts are needed to support vulnerable members of society.”

Also speaking, Alhaji Audu Mairiga, popularly known as Dan Masanin Pantami, commended the leadership of the organisation for organising the programme and its planned empowerment initiative.

Mairiga said the initiative would contribute to supporting members of the community and improving their welfare.

Other dignitaries at the event included Alhaji Musa Bakas, APC Secretary for Planning and Strategy, and Hon. Euphemia Obi, the Renewed Hope Coordinator.

Awards were also presented to some dignitaries in recognition of their contributions to the development of the community.
