Isharani Baruah eased past compatriot Rakshitha Sree Ramraj here on Saturday to qualify for the women’s singles final at the Vietnam Open 2026.

The third seed triumphed 21-10, 21-18 in 39 minutes to reach her first BWF Tour final of the season. Her best finish this season was the 3rd place she managed at the Orleans Masters Super 300 in March.

Top seed Tanvi Sharma went down 19-21, 20-22 to Thailand’s Sarunrak Vitidsarn in the other semifinal.

Isharani had beaten Chinese Taipei’s Huang Ching Ping 21-15, 21-18 in the previous round and Malaysia’s Goh Jin Wei in the round of 16 after receiving a first-round bye.

H. S. Prannoy will take on top seed Jia Heng Teh in the men’s singles semifinal later in the day.
