Selma Blair, Sierra McCormick, Logan Miller & Dylan Playfair Starring In ‘Dead At 27’; Iann Dior, Tommy Genesis & Kya (Bludnymph) Hansen With Music

EXCLUSIVE: Production has wrapped on under-the-radar “Gen Z music thriller” Dead At 27, starring Selma Blair (Cruel Intentions), Sierra McCormick (American Horror Stories), Logan Miller (Escape Room) and Dylan Playfair (Letterkenny).

The film will feature acting and music from recording artists Iann Dior, Tommy Genesis and Kya (Bludnymph) Hansen. K. Asher Levin directs.

Described as a “hallucinatory descent into the dark side of music and pop culture, Dead at 27 explores our modern addiction to fame, validation, and the spectacle of its own destruction…When a reclusive pop icon resurfaces with a dangerously addictive new sound, a generation of fans falls under her spell.”

The film was written by Levin and Zack Imbrogno and produced by Levin, Ashleigh Snead, Henry Boger (Free Fall Films), and Michael May. Executive producers are Selma Blair, Iann Dior, Andile Ndlovu and Jasmine Pears, with Ronnie Exley and Jeremy Rossserving as co-executive producers. Paul Yurick, Adam Stillwell and Nick Daue are co-producers.

The film features a full original soundtrack written by Levin and Theresa Wayman, featuring performances by cast members and recording artists Tommy Genesis, Iann Dior, Kya (Bludnymph) Hansen and Logan Miller.

The film was shot by cinematographer Andy Chen and edited by Alex Rodriguez (Children of Men, Y Tu Mamá También) and Raul Toledo.

The film marks the latest collaboration between Levin and Snead, who first worked together as producers on Adam Egypt Mortimer’s Fantastic Fest title Pathetic Fallacy, alongside veteran genre producer Steven Schneider.
