Jacob Fatu's return to WWE television may be close, with a new backstage report putting him in filming for the company's Survivor Series: WarGames plans. PWInsider Elite reports that Fatu filmed WWE material on Tuesday, November 3, alongside talent expected to compete at the November 28 event. The reported plan has him joining Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa, Jimmy Uso and Jey Uso against Royce Keys' 946 faction. WWE hasn't officially announced the match, and the report gives no date for Fatu's first appearance back on television. This year's event is set for Daikin Park in Houston, Texas, on Saturday.
Jacob Fatu Reportedly Films WWE Material Alongside Wrestlers Expected for Survivor Series WarGames
PWInsider Elite's update puts Fatu among the wrestlers preparing material for the event, with the expected WarGames match shaping up as a Bloodline-versus-946 fight.
The report lists Roman Reigns, Solo Sikoa and The Usos alongside Fatu. But it's still a reported plan, not an announced match card.
The 946 added Cruz Montana on the November 2 episode of Raw. Montana revealed himself during a beatdown segment, which gave Royce Keys' group another member as the rivalry with The Bloodline goes on.
The faction now has six members, while the reported Bloodline lineup has five wrestlers.
Dave Meltzer Previously Linked Jacob Fatu's WWE Absence to Filming Commitments and the On-Screen Attack
Fatu hasn't appeared on WWE television since the September 28 Raw, when Jaida Parker hit him with a car and got revealed as part of Keys' 946 faction. WWE used the angle to take him off-screen, and PWInsider Elite reports he has been selling the attack.
There was also a filming explanation. On Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said he believed Fatu, Joe Hendry and Drew McIntyre were working on a WWE show together.
“The Jacob thing, I believe Jacob and Joe Hendry and Drew McIntyre are doing some WWE show, filming of the show.”
Meltzer added that the project explained why Fatu was absent, though the exact show wasn't identified in those comments.
WWE later confirmed that Fatu, Hendry and McIntyre were among the stars featured in its ReelShort series, Agent of Shadows. The company released the series on October 23, with all three in the cast.
Fatu's last televised match was on the August 3 episode of Raw, where he beat Keys in a street fight.
He also wrestled during WWE's South American live tour in September, teaming with Jimmy and Jey Uso against LA Knight, Seth Rollins and Solo Sikoa.
