Pokémon World Space Week collab UK: Science Museum and Pokémon Go events explained

This week is World Space Week, and to celebrate, Pokémon has teamed up with a few different organisations for some special collabs.
From museums to space agencies, live events to merch, there's all sorts of fun stuff to get involved with as part of the celebrations.
So, here's what you need to know about what's going on in the UK as part of Pokémon's World Space Week collab.
Pokémon has teamed up with the European Space Agency to create a line of Pokémon merch, including plushes, Pokémon TCG accessories and more, that can be purchased from the Pokémon Center and ESA online shop.
Undoubtedly, the highlight of the collab is the plushes, with two Pikachu plushes available, both sporting ESA astronaut outfits.
But beyond that, fans can get involved in some real life science by taking part in the Pokémon x Science Museum collaboration in London.

Running until 3 January, and in partnership with the ESA, the Science Museum will play host to the Pokémon Space Trail, a series of exhibits featuring Pokémon as well as plenty of space science to learn about.
A special Pokémon x ESA Lates event will also be held at the Science Museum on 26 November, with a board game café, labs, and IMAX screenings available.
And last, but not least, plenty of the merch mentioned above will also be available to purchase at the Pokémon x ESA shop at the museum.
Pokémon World Space Week collab: Pokémon Go
For World Space Week, Astronaut Pikachu will be added to the game until Saturday 10 October at 11:59pm local time.
Players will be able to find Astronaut Pikachu in One-Star Raids, with a small chance to find a Shiny variant too!
As well as that, there's a free Timed Research to complete, which also earns you an encounter with Astronaut Pikachu, so it's worth completing if you want as many chances for a shiny as possible.
This Timed Research stays around a bit longer, expiring on Monday 12 October at 11:59pm local time.
