Alison Hammond returns home as she explains reason behind sudden This Morning exit

Alison Hammond has shared a new health update after she had to drop out of a live This Morning broadcast and get whisked to hospital yesterday.
The presenter, who also fronts The Great British Bake Off, exited the set during a phone-in segment, with Dermot O'Leary telling viewers that she wouldn't be back for the remainder of the show.
Last night, she told fans that she had "a little bit of a palpitation" and was getting her heart checked out in the hospital. She's now shared another Instagram update letting everyone know that she's back home and well.

In the video, Alison said: "Hi everyone, I'm getting in touch to let you all know I'm safe and I'm feeling so much better.
"Thanks to everyone at the NHS who did the checks on my heart, lungs, bloods, I'm all okay, it's all clear, which would mean I had a massive panic attack on live TV. I mean, the shame of it.
"But it felt very real to me, you know, I'm really new to panic attacks so I need to learn more about it. But I just wanted to say a massive thank you to This Morning who looked after me, all of your messages, Dermot, who's just been incredible. Like, everyone, just, honestly, it's really warmed my heart actually.
"I didn't necessarily wanna be on the news or anything like that but I mean, this is a new world to me, I'm gonna take stock, get some rest, and I'll see you soon. Luv ya!"

The NHS describes the possible symptoms of panic attacks as including, but not limited to: a racing heartbeat, feeling faint, sweating, nausea, chest pain, shortness of breath, hot flushes, or dizziness.
They usually last between five and twenty minutes, but have been reported to last up to an hour. They can come on very quickly and for no apparent reason, and how often they happen can vary between people.
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV1.
