iNTTA 2026 to link tourism, agribusiness and investment across Ghana

The 6th Inter Tourism Expo and Conference (iNTTA 2026) is seeking to strengthen the links between tourism, agribusiness and investment to drive economic growth and create jobs across Ghana.

The three-day event, scheduled for October 21 to 23, 2026, at the Ridge Royal Hotel in Cape Coast, will bring together tourism operators, investors, entrepreneurs, financial institutions and other stakeholders to explore business opportunities across the sectors.

Executive Chairman of iNTTA and convener of the expo, Emmanuel Treku, said the initiative was designed to move beyond promoting Ghana’s tourism attractions to harnessing the sector as a driver of investment, industrial development and sustainable livelihoods.

In a welcome message ahead of the event, he said Ghana’s cultural heritage, coastline, hospitality industry, creative industries and natural resources presented opportunities for enterprise development, capital mobilisation and export growth.

The expo is being held under the theme: “The 24-Hour Africa Economy, Tourism, Agribusiness, Digital Sovereignty & AfCFTA Industrial Acceleration.”

Mr Treku said the programme would seek to translate discussions into commercial partnerships and develop viable investment proposals that could generate measurable economic benefits.

He called for stronger collaboration among the tourism, finance, trade, agriculture, transport, infrastructure, technology and industry sectors, with the private sector playing a key role in implementation.

According to him, tourism must be treated as a strategic economic sector capable of supporting Ghana’s 24-hour economy, strengthening local value chains, attracting investment and creating sustainable employment.

The programme will extend beyond Cape Coast to Greater Accra and the Savannah Region, with site visits scheduled for October 25 and 26.

The Savannah Region engagements, to be hosted by the Yagbonwura, the overlord of Gonja land, are expected to showcase the connections between tourism, culture and commerce.

Mr Treku said the expo would also provide opportunities for discussions on tourism infrastructure, access to finance, skills development, destination readiness and digital innovation.

He urged investors, tourism operators, traditional authorities, the Ghanaian diaspora and international partners to use the platform to identify viable projects, open markets and establish partnerships that would continue beyond the conference.

He said the broader ambition was to position Ghana as an investment destination and make tourism a stronger contributor to economic transformation.
