Three aides at a daycare center in Ra'anana were arrested on suspicion of abusing toddlers, after parents of children at the facility filed a complaint with police. Their detention was extended on Monday until Tuesday.

The names of the suspects and the name of the daycare center are barred from publication.

An approximately 11-month-old toddler was brought to Meir Medical Center suffering from an injury to his ear. Following a report raising suspicion that he had been harmed, investigators from the Kfar Saba Police Station opened a covert investigation into a daycare center in the Sharon region.

Investigative actions raised suspicions of additional incidents of violence against toddlers and led to the arrests of three aides employed at the daycare center.

Aides suspected of throwing, pulling toddlers at daycare

According to the suspicions, the aides were documented forcibly lifting toddlers and throwing them to the floor, pulling their ears, and throwing objects at them. The suspicions emerged during investigative actions that included the use of technological means.

As the investigation progressed and police developed the evidentiary basis in the case, officers arrested the three aides, Ra'anana residents in their 30s and 50s.
