Bwala mocks NDC campaign council list
The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communications, Daniel Bwala, has faulted the Nigeria Democratic Congress over its National Campaign Council for the 2027 general elections.
Bwala said the list is dominated by content creators.
He made the remarks in a post on X on Sunday, shortly after the party unveiled the council.
He also accused the party of failing to disclose the identities of its media surrogates in mainstream broadcasting.
He wrote, “#PeterObi and NDC have released their list of campaign council members and as expected it is filled with content creators.
“They stylishly refused to name their campaign media surrogates in the mainstream media masquerading as OAP.”
Bwala’s criticism followed the announcement as political parties begin organising their campaign structures and mobilisation strategies ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Recall that the NDC earlier announced the formation of the council, which it said would oversee campaign activities nationwide and coordinate efforts to mobilise support for its candidates ahead of the 2027 polls.

Under the party’s announced structure, its National Leader, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, will chair the council, while its presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will serve as co-chairman.
The party’s National Chairman, Senator Cleopas Moses Zuwoghe, was named vice-chairman, with its vice-presidential candidate, Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, appointed co-vice-chairman.
The NDC also named its National Secretary, Barrister Ikenna Morgan Enekweizu, as council secretary, while Mallam Ibrahim Hussain Abdulkarim was appointed director-general.
The party said the council would provide ‘strategic leadership’ and coordinate nationwide mobilisation towards its vision of ‘a new, just, and prosperous Nigeria’.
It also pledged to run a ‘people-centred and issue-based campaign’, urging its members, supporters and Nigerians to remain united ahead of the elections.
