Oga Obinna Advises Dismissed Geoffrey Mosiria To Stop “Airing Dirty Linen” Online

Media personality Oga Obinna has urged former Nairobi County Chief Officer Geoffrey Mosiria to cease venting on social media following his dismissal by Nairobi Governor Johnson Sakaja.

Speaking about Mosiria’s recent online posts expressing frustration over his removal, Obinna warned the former county official against public retaliation, cautioning that his behavior could alienate potential employers and permanently damage his professional standing.

Obinna revealed that he had discussed the situation with a mutual acquaintance who expressed serious concern over Mosiria’s career prospects:

“Mwenzetu kazi imebaki, this is what I foresee. I had a conversation with one of his friends, na akaniambia huyu mtu atabaki kuwa content creator because many people will not dare employ him because he talks too much, and when you talk too much in any organisation, you become a liability,” Obinna stated.

He argued that Mosiria’s public attacks on his former boss would create unnecessary enemies and further complicate his political and professional future:

“What he is doing now, he thinks, is he is retaliating to his former boss, airing dirty linen on social media and will have a lot of enemies. For him to find a job, it will be very difficult; what will remain will be retaliation.”

Urging Legal Action Over Social Media Outcries

While acknowledging that Mosiria might be hurt and disappointed by his sudden removal from City Hall, Obinna urged him to handle his grievances through formal channels or remain silent.

“I know it is not my place to tell him this, bro. Shut up, you have said so much, Nyamaza tu. If it is something you can go legally, just go, but hapa TikTok hautasaidika,” Obinna advised. “I know you are angry, you feel disappointed, but just shut up.”

Reflections on Power, Office, and Ego

Obinna also reflected on how individuals conduct themselves while occupying public office, emphasizing that political power and influence are inherently temporary.

“Yani mtu anakutukana, you do not know the way some feel… ulinidiss ukifikiria hiyo office itakaa. Nothing in life is permanent; when you are in a position of power or influence, try and minimise the ego, attitude and pride,” he remarked.

Obinna’s advice follows Governor Johnson Sakaja’s administrative decision on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, removing Mosiria as Chief Officer for Public Participation, Citizen Engagement, and Customer Service. The dismissal came shortly after Mosiria declared his intentions to challenge Sakaja in the 2027 Nairobi gubernatorial race.
