China Open 2026: Indians in action today (September 1) – Unnati Hooda, Arjun-Hariharan in action on Day 1

The China Masters 2026, a BWF World Tour Super 750 event, will begin in Shenzhen on September 1, marking the first action for Indian shuttlers since the BWF World Championships.
A number of Indian players including Ayush Shetty, PV Sindhu, Malvika Bansod, and Aakarshi Kashyap have withdrawn from the tournament already, but the likes of Lakshya Sen, Tanvi Sharma, Unnati Hooda, and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty will be eying strong performances.
Day 1 sees Unnati Hooda get her campaign underway against South Korea’s Kim Ga Eun in the women’s singles competition, while MR Arjun and Hariharan Amsakarun will start in the men’s doubles against Chen Bo Yang and Liu Yi of China.
