WEST END FINAL

Police are hunting a woman after an attempted child abduction at an east London Tube station.

A seven-year-old girl was approached by a woman at West Ham Underground station at around 8.30pm on Thursday, October 15.

British Transport Police say the woman told the young girl, who was accompanied by her father, that she wanted to “grab” her, before making attempts to hold her hand.

The father and daughter then got away from the woman, who told bystanders that the man - the girl’s father - was kidnapping the girl.

The woman then fled the station.

“We’re keen to speak to the person in the images who may have vital information that could assist our ongoing investigation. If you recognise her, please text her name to 61016 quoting reference 108 of 16 October.”
