Famous faces lose their heads as slip-up leads to Celebrity Traitors banishment

Translate

The Celebrity Traitors delivered another dramatic episode on Friday night, with a much loved Faithful getting banished, and the Traitors attempting a murder in plain sight.

With King Kenny’s recruitment the previous night, the Faithfuls were shocked to see everyone return to breakfast.

Suspicion immediately fell on Joe Lycett, who had professed his desperation to be recruited after Traitor Hannah Fry had been banished at Thursday’s round table.

Off to the mission, which saw the group split into two and answering questions about their fellow contestants.

The Red Team, which included Traitors Maya Jama and James Acaster, won more money for the prize pot - winning Maya a Shield to protect her for the evening’s murder.

No one seemed to be certain about who the remaining Traitors were - leading to carnage at the Round Table.

Next, the knives were out for Joanne, due to her faux-pas at the previous Round Table along with her erratic votes throughout the series.

At the death, with James Blunt questioning Joe, the comedian made a slip-up by implying the Traitors would recruit again should he be banished - and it resulted in him getting almost a clean-sweep of votes.

Standing in front of the round table, Joe said: “I always wanted to start as a Faithful and end as a Traitor.

“I started as a Faithful, I did not get my wish.”

There were heads in hands around the Round Table, and a sombre scene at the bar afterwards.

Miranda Hart was in tears, telling James Acaster she was upset at losing the “laughter and joy” Joe had brought to the castle.

The drama was far from over however - with the Traitors told they must murder in plain sight.

They were instructed to “bore” their victim to death, using a bottle filled with deadly powder located in the library.

They had to spray the powder into a room, before luring their victim there and getting them to yawn.

Kenny secured the bottle, sprayed the perfume - but there was an agonising wait as the Traitors attempted to force one of the Faithful to yawn.

Ross and Jerry Hall were lured into the room, and James and Maya pretended to yawn to try to entice one from a Faithful.

The episode ended on a cliff-hanger, with both looking tired just before the clock struck twelve.

But who will go? And have the Traitors been caught in the act? We will have to wait until Thursday to find out.
