Two provincial government officers appeared before the Senate impeachment court Thursday to shed light on the alleged properties of Vice President Sara Duterte and her husband, Manases Carpio.
One of them was Marco Pineda, Deputy Register of Deeds III of the City of Samal.
Pineda was subpoenaed to testify about a property in Island Garden City of Samal registered in the name of Carpio.
He said that he is also "concurrently serving as an assisting register of deeds of Davao City."
“Kami po ang repositoryo ng lahat ng mga titulo at ari-arian, personal or real. Saka tungkulin namin na kung mayroong mga dokumentong sinusumite sa aming tanggapan, ito po ay aming tungkulin na suriin kung ito ay kumpleto,” said Pineda.

Pineda said that their office also has jurisdiction over Davao del Norte.
He said that he submitted documents related to the alleged property of Carpio in Samal.
The net worth of Duterte and her husband reached more than P98 million in 2025, an 11.46% increase from their 2024 net worth based on their joint Statement of Assets, Liabilities and Net Worth (SALN).
GMA News Research found that the Duterte-Carpio couple declared a net worth of P98,656,131.20 in 2025. The net worth they declared in the prior year was P88 million.
