Esposito agrees Sassuolo move as Pinamonti heads to Lazio

Sebastiano Esposito is set to join Sassuolo, with the forward moving to fill the gap created by Andrea Pinamonti’s departure for Lazio.
According to Sky Sport Italia, via TuttoMercatoWeb, the Neroverdi have reached an agreement with Esposito over personal terms and he is scheduled to undergo his medical on Thursday before signing.
Esposito set to replace Pinamonti at Sassuolo
The deal is structured as a swap of loans with Cagliari, with Riccardo Ciervo travelling in the opposite direction to join Fabio Pisacane’s side.
Sassuolo had held up Pinamonti’s exit until his replacement was secured, only granting the striker permission to travel to Rome once the Esposito deal was close. Pinamonti arrived in the capital on Wednesday afternoon for his medical, with the move to Lazio expected to be finalised as a paid loan worth €3m carrying an option to buy.
Esposito came through the Inter academy and has since had spells at a string of clubs, most recently establishing himself at Cagliari.
Sassuolo are working on a second arrival in parallel as TuttoMercatoWeb reports the club are close to signing Rafik Belghali from Verona, the Algeria wing-back having been a target for some time, with an agreement possible in the coming hours.
