Emmerdale reveals Ruby's major role in Sadie and Robert's latest scheme

Emmerdale has revealed the major role Ruby Miligan will play in Sadie King and Robert Sugden's latest scheme.

In this week’s episodes, Ruby was buried alive by Joe Tate, seeking revenge for the death of his fiancée, Dawn.

Joe believed Caleb was to blame for Dawn's death, so he buried Caleb's wife alive. However, Caleb and Graham rescued her at the last minute.

Meanwhile, in Friday’s episode, viewers heard a voicemail from Jimmy King to Sadie, which seemed to prove that her claim that they were in a relationship before he died was a lie.

Viewers know that Sadie has joined forces with Robert to try to get their hands on Jimmy's missing money, which he received from selling his shares in the haulage firm to Caleb Milligan.

In scenes set to air next week, Sadie and Robert suspect that Jimmy’s missing cash must be stashed at the haulage depot.

Sadie feigns interest in Ruby’s wine business to get close to her and into the depot, and the pair bond as they sample wine together.

Seizing the moment, Sadie searches for the cash, but when Caleb catches her, she is forced to admit she is looking for Jimmy’s money to give to Nicola.

Later, Sadie continues bonding with a drunken Ruby, but almost gives away her secret when she lets slip about a fling with Federico in New York last Christmas before passing out.

The next day, Sadie scrambles to cover her tracks when Ruby asks questions, later warning Robert about her near miss.

Despite Robert urging her to cut their losses, Sadie insists they must keep looking for the money, convinced it will be worth it.

Previously teasing some scenes between Caleb and Sadie, Patsy Kensit, who plays Sadie, said: "Let's just say we're about to explore things between Sadie and Caleb.

"There are several people that Sadie will be clashing with, in terms of other interactions – and there's going to be drama!"

Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
