Report: Juventus join race for Inter veteran Calhanoglu

Juventus are keeping an eye on Hakan Calhanoglu’s contract situation at Inter, with the midfielder’s deal expiring in June 2027 and no renewal agreed.

According to Ekrem Konur, via Calciomercato.it, the Bianconeri are among those monitoring the stalemate and could make a concrete move if Calhanoglu fails to extend. Turkish clubs are watching closely too.

Spalletti short of a natural regista as Juventus eye Calhanoglu

The appeal is obvious as Luciano Spalletti has been pairing Douglas Luiz with Pape Matar Sarr in the middle, neither of whom is a natural deep-lying playmaker. Meanwhile, Calhanoglu fits the profile Spalletti wants exactly.

The complications are age and fitness. He turns 33 in February and is currently sidelined with his seventh injury since November 2025, though he hopes to be available to Cristian Chivu once the international break ends.

Inter’s hesitation over a new deal is reportedly not about his quality. For now Juventus are watching from a distance, and any approach would depend on the renewal talks collapsing entirely.
