The Milan Regional Administrative Court (TAR) has rejected all the appeals against the sale of the San Siro area to Milan and Inter, clearing the way for the clubs’ plans to build a new stadium.

The two Serie A giants have received a significant boost in their efforts to build a new stadium near the existing Stadio Meazza.

As reported by ANSA, the Milan TAR has dismissed five appeals filed by associations and private citizens challenging the clubs’ acquisition of the San Siro area.

Milan and Inter confirmed the purchase of the Stadio Meazza and surrounding areas in November 2025, effectively beginning the countdown to building their new stadium there.

Concerns had been raised that the appeals could delay or even halt the project, but Tuesday’s ruling marks another major step toward building the new San Siro.

Gazzetta reported a few weeks ago that Milan and Inter aim to unveil a rendering of the new stadium before November, with construction work expected to begin next summer.

The two Milan-based clubs hope to complete the stadium by 2031, allowing it to host matches at Euro 2032, which Italy will co-host with Turkiye.

With the current Stadio Meazza having failed UEFA inspections for the tournament, the new stadium remains Milan’s only proposed venue for Euro 2032.
