Walmart (WMT) is expanding the Better Care Services platform and making it easier for consumers to choose third-party healthcare providers by integrating the General Medicine catalogue.

The General Medicine catalogue enables consumers to better evaluate available services and providers for a variety of health needs, compare costs, and access the booking or fulfillment options available for each service.

“Walmart brings the customer-facing experience, while General Medicine provides the technology that connects care options, coverage information, and potential costs behind the scenes,” Walmart said in a press release.

Walmart launched Better Care Services earlier this year as a digital healthcare marketplace to help consumers access virtual care and wellness services from a network of providers. With the integration of General Medicine, thousands of services are now searchable in a single catalogue.
