The lawyer for the woman who alleges she was raped at a Cornell University fraternity house says both he and his client have received death threats following the publicity of the case.

Thomas Giuffra is representing a woman, known in legal documents as Jane Doe, who alleges she was raped at a frat house on campus in 2024. No criminal charges were initially filed in connection with the allegations. The case has since been reopened following a civil lawsuit filed by Doe.

Giuffra spoke to BBC Newsnight about recent developments in the case and Donald Trump's recent comments about it.
