600 marijuana plants, 1,400 seedlings seized in Ilocos Sur
SAN ILDEFONSO, Ilocos Sur — The police discovered and seized about 600 fully grown marijuana plants and 1,400 seedlings from three cultivation sites in Sugpon, Ilocos Sur, on Saturday.
According to the Ilocos Sur Police Provincial Office (ISPPO), the marijuana eradication operation was conducted in Barangay Caoayan, Sugpon, covering an estimated 111 square meters.
The operation was led by Lt. Col. David Dulnuan, deputy provincial director for operations, with personnel from the ISPPO Drug Enforcement Unit, 2nd Ilocos Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company, ISPPO Intelligence and Detective Management Unit-KIMAT, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Region I and Sugpon police.

Police said the confiscated marijuana plants and seedlings are worth an estimated P176,000.
