Mary-Louise Parker Joins Julia Garner, Lewis Pullman & Maddie Hasson In Apple TV’s ‘Guilty Creatures’

EXCLUSIVE: Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds, Elsbeth) has been tapped for a recurring role in Apple TV‘s thriller drama Guilty Creatures, starring and executive produced by Julia Garner.
In addition to Garner, she joins previously announced Lewis Pullman and Maddie Hasson in the series, from director Craig Gillespie, showrunner Stuart Zicherman and Tomorrow Studios.
Character details are under wraps.
Adapted for the screen by Sarah DeLappe from Mikita Brottman‘s true-crime book Guilty Creatures: Sex, God, and Murder in Tallahassee, Florida, Guilty Creatures is set against a backdrop of sex and and murder in the Florida Panhandle. It delves into the psyche of a torrid romance and subsequent act of murder between two young, adulterous but God-fearing lovers — believed to be played by Garner and Pullman — unraveling their complex lives and the emotional toll of living as killers for 18 years.
Guilty Creatures is produced by Tomorrow Studios (One Piece), an ITV Studios partner, and developed through the studios’ first-look deals with Garner’s Alma Margo and Gillespie’s Fortunate Jack Productions. Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements and Alissa Bachner executive produce through Tomorrow Studios, along with Garner through Alma Margo. Zicherman also serves as executive producer alongside DeLappe. Gillespie and Annie Marter executive produce through Fortunate Jack Productions. Brottman also serves as an executive producer.
Parker stars as Ms. Sigsby in the MGM+ horror series The Institute, based on Stephen King’s novel, which is set to premiere its second season on Nov. 8. An Emmy and two-time Golden Globe winner, she is perhaps best known for her acclaimed run on Weeds and her career on Broadway, earning two Best Actress Tonys, one for Proof and the other for The Sound Inside. Parker is repped by CAA.
