WASHINGTON, Oct 31 — US entrepreneur Elon Musk said yesterday that his company, Neuralink, had unveiled a new product called Blindsight, designed to allow people who have lost their sight to see, Sputnik/RIA Novosti reported.

“Our second product is called Blindsight and it will, as the name suggests, enable even those who are completely blind or have never seen to see. It is ready from an engineering standpoint. Just waiting on regulatory approval,” Musk wrote on X.

The billionaire also mentioned another of the company’s products, Telepathy, which was unveiled in 2024.

“It enables high-speed communication with computers or humans simply by thinking. Output bandwidth will vastly exceed the fastest human speech or typing in a few years,” Musk explained.

In the comments section of the post, the billionaire also responded to a father who asked whether Neuralink’s products could help his young daughter, who has epilepsy. Musk said the devices currently being developed could help manage certain types of the condition, although they remain somewhat “brutish” in their current form. — Bernama-Sputnik/RIA Novosti
