The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data, the lattermost metric reflecting purchases of physical singles and digital tracks from full-service digital music retailers; digital singles sales from direct-to-consumer (D2C) sites are excluded from chart calculations. ‘Choosin’ Texas’ Streams, Airplay & Sales
“Choosin’ Texas,” on SAWGOD/Columbia Records, with Triple Tigers having promoted it to country radio, totaled 20 million official streams (up 1% week over week), 58.6 million radio airplay audience impressions (essentially even) and 4,000 sold (down 17%) in the United States Oct. 16-22.
The single drops to No. 4 from No. 1 following a record-tying 26 weeks atop the Streaming Songs chart; holds at its No. 2 high on Radio Songs; and falls 2-5 after a record 19 weeks atop Digital Song Sales.
“Choosin’ Texas” also leads the multimetric Hot Country Songs chart for a 46th week, passing Shaboozey’s “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” from 2024, for the second-longest No. 1 run; Bebe Rexha and Florida Georgia Line’s “Meant To Be” ruled for 50 weeks in 2017-18.

Ella, Extended
“Choosin’ Texas” logs its seventh distinct stay at No. 1 on the Hot 100, previously leading on charts dated Feb. 14; March 7 and 21-28; April 11-25; May 9-23; and July 4-Oct. 3. It extends its mark for the most separate No. 1 runs over a single release cycle. (Overall, Mariah Carey’s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” leads with eight ascents to No. 1 over 2019-25.)
Further reflecting its staying power, in between the first and latest week atop the Hot 100 for “Choosin’ Texas,” nine other songs have led: Bad Bunny’s “DtMF”; Taylor Swift’s “Opalite;” Bruno Mars’ “I Just Might”; BTS’ “Swim”; Olivia Rodrigo’s “Drop Dead”; Drake’s “Janice STFU”; Ariana Grande’s “Hate That I Made You Love Me”; and Swift’s “I Knew It, I Knew You” and “Patient Zero.”
Meanwhile, “Choosin’ Texas” (released just more than a year ago, on Oct. 17, 2025) hit No. 1 on the Country Airplay chart the same week that it first topped the Hot 100 in February. Langley has since added four top 10s at the format, including three additional leaders from her album Dandelion: “Be Her,” “I Can’t Love You Anymore,” with Morgan Wallen, and “Loving Life Again.”

Higher ‘Expectations’
Image Credit: Phoenix Johnson Olivia Rodrigo and Chappell Roan’s “Expectations” soars 63-3 on the Hot 100, following the Oct. 15 release of its remix, and video, adding Roan. The song was originally released in June by Rodrigo solo on her album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love.
The track (all versions combined) totaled 18.2 million streams (up 302%), 2.6 million in radio reach (up from a negligible amount), 4,000 downloads sold (up 465%) and 15,000 in first-week physical sales (on cassette, CD and 7-inch vinyl).
Rodrigo scores her 11th Hot 100 top 10 with “Expectations,” which previously peaked at No. 20 upon its debut. It’s her fifth top 10 from you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love — her first album to spin off that many — following “Drop Dead” (No. 1 for one week), “Stupid Song” (No. 3), “The Cure” (No. 5) and “Honeybee” (No. 9). She tallied four top 10s from her debut LP, Sour, in 2021.
Roan earns her fifth Hot 100 top 10, tying last year’s “The Subway” for her highest rank.
Notably, Dan Nigro has produced or co-produced each of Rodrigo and Roan’s Hot 100 top 10s, and co-written all but one (“Honeybee,” which Rodrigo solely wrote). Plus, Roan opened for Rodrigo on both the former’s Sour Tour and Guts World Tour.

Bryan & Del Rey Debut

Bryan achieves his fourth Hot 100 top 10 and Del Rey, her third; she ties her best placement, following her featured turn on Taylor Swift’s “Snow on the Beach” in 2022.
“Lies” also opens at No. 1 on Digital Song Sales, where Bryan and Del Rey each lead for the first time.

Rest of Top 10: ‘Zero’ Is 5 & More
Taylor Swift’s “Patient Zero” falls four spots to No. 5 after it reigned in its first three weeks on the Hot 100. With 26,000 in physical sales and 4,000 in downloads, it’s the top-selling song of the week overall.
Stella Lefty’s “Boston” descends three places (3-6) on the Hot 100, as does Morgan Wallen’s “Been by Now” (4-7), with both having hit No. 2.
Tame Impala and JENNIE’s “Dracula” drops to No. 8 from its No. 5 Hot 100 high. It rules the multimetric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart for a 42nd week and Hot Rock & Alternative Songs for a 24th, as it tops Radio Songs for a sixth frame (63.2 million, down 1%).
ADÉLA’s “Nicole Kidman” dips to No. 9 from its No. 6 Hot 100 best and, rounding out the top 10, Olivia Rodrigo’s “Stupid Song” slips 8-10.
