India have recalled Bhuvneshwar Kumar for the five-match T20I series against New Zealand later this month. Bhuvneshwar, whose last appearance for India was also in a T20I in New Zealand in November 2022, earned the call-up after an impressive IPL 2026 campaign, where he picked up 28 wickets to finish as the second-highest wicket-taker during Royal Challengers Bengaluru's successful title defence.

Varun Chakravarthy is also back for India, having recovered from a side strain suffered during the T20I series against Afghanistan in September which ruled him out of the one-off game against Japan and the Asian Games.

Legspinner Ravi Bishnoi has been left out of the 16-member squad.
