The Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX) on Monday said it is expecting an influx of up to 190,000 passengers on Tuesday, November 3, as travelers return from provinces after Undas 2026.

PITX senior corporate affairs officer Kolyn Calbasa said passenger arrivals on Monday are expected to be relatively lower as some travelers have extended their vacations and will return on the first working day after the holiday.

"Actually, inaasahan natin ‘yan bukas dahil historically po sa November 2, every time po, medyo kaunti ‘yung pasahero natin dahil yung iba ay nag-extend ng kanilang bakasyon," Calbasa told GMA News’ Unang Balita in an interview.

(Actually, we expect the influx tomorrow because historically on November 2, every time, we have fewer passengers because others have extended their vacations.)

She said the number of passengers could reach around 180,000 and 190,000 on Tuesday as regular commuters are also expected to return to their usual routines.

"Inaasahan natin by tomorrow na papatak tayo ng at least 180,000 to 190,000 dahil sabay-sabay na po ‘yan ‘yung usual commuters natin for Tuesday and then siyempre, marami pong babalik galing provinces,’ she said.

(We expect by tomorrow that we will have at least 180,000 to 190,000 because that will be our usual commuters for Tuesday and then of course, many will be returning from the provinces.)

While PITX has not experienced significant delays as of Monday morning, Calbasa said some delays were reported Sunday night due to traffic in Metro Manila.

Despite the traffic, all buses were able to depart, she added.

To ensure orderly operations and prevent congestion inside the terminal, PITX has coordinated with various government agencies, including the Land Transportation Office (LTO), Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), as well as Special Action and Intelligence Committee for Transportation (SAICT).

Calbasa said PITX is also coordinating daily with bus operators to ensure adequate bus supply and maintain the scheduled turnaround time of trips.

Meanwhile, she reminded passengers traveling to the provinces to purchase tickets only at authorized ticket booths and avoid riding colorum or unauthorized vehicles.

Passengers were advised to travel light to avoid inconvenience when entering the terminal.

Calbasa also warned travelers against bringing prohibited items such flammable materials and sharp objects. — RSJ, GMA News
