PlayStation Plus Officially Drops 3 New Free Games You Can Download Now

Sony might be going through arguably their most controversial period in history, but things are still quietly ticking away underneath if you're still using the PlayStation as your main console. If you are a PlayStation Plus subscriber, things are continuing as normal for the most part, while we wait to hear more about Sony's decision to abandon physical games moving forward.

As part of that, we've already had confirmation of several of the games set to feature in September's lineup and Sony has quietly just gone ahead and confirmed the final three members of the roster, including titles that are well worth picking up if you're looking for something to do this weekend.

As first reported by GameRant, PlayStation Plus has just confirmed three additional games as the final portion of their offering for September, with this last batch having just debuted at the time of writing. The full list of games included is as follows:

• Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound (PS4, PS5) [Extra, Premium]
• Dungeons of Hinterberg (PS4, PS5) [Extra, Premium]
• Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS4, PS5) [Extra, Premium]

The headline act for many is likely to be Sniper Elite: Resistance, one of the best examples of the genre to date, taking players back to World War II once again to shoot some soldiers in all of their different organs.

Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is one of the most recent entries in the legendary series, a side-scrolling 2D platformer that redefines the classics of the genre, and adds a bunch of new bells and whistles for the modern player to enjoy. The art is particularly spectacular in this example and the level design really is some of the best you'll find anywhere.

The last pick this time around is Dungeons of Hinterberg, a puzzle and exploration game with a spectacular hand-crafted art style. There's dungeon exploring and fun elemental abilities, and if it's your type of game, you'll struggle to find a better choice anywhere.

Those games join Slitterhead and one of the absolute standout hits of 2025 in Ball x Pit, which joined the service on September 22, and Runescape: Dragonwilds, Date Everything!, and WWE 2K26, which were added on September 15. Premium subscribers also gained additional access to both Mega Man X: Command Mission and Metro: Redux, in what has actually turned out to be quite a bumper month for the service.

We don't really know what's coming next for PlayStation Plus as we head towards the holiday period, though with some big games on the way outside of that, the pressure is less pronounced to deliver for the subscription service. Marvel's Wolverine seems like a safe bet to be added in the next six months or so given the lukewarm reception, while other first-party titles should join in relatively short order.
