21-year-old Como centre-back Jacobo Ramon has earned his first ever call up to the senior Spain national team squad for Nations League fixtures against Czechia and England coming up in November.

Ramon is the only Serie A representative in Luis De La Fuente’s latest Spain national team squad ahead of Nations League fixtures against Czechia on Thursday, November 12 and England on Sunday, November 15.

The Real Madrid academy product earns his first national team call-up after an excellent start to the 2026-27 season with Como, where he has played almost every minute across the first 14 competitive matches of the campaign. He has only come off before the 90th minute on two occasions so far.

He has also proved a handful from set-pieces with three goals and two assists to his name after 14 matches at club level in 2026-27. He netted his first Champions League goal in a 4-1 victory over Manchester United earlier this month and was also part of the side that claimed an historic 9-1 win over Lens earlier this week.

It is a case of one in, one out for Serie A players in the Spain national team squad: Ramon is called in, but Inter goalkeeper Josep Martinez drops out after earning his first call-up last month.
