皇崗口岸港方口岸區陸續進行多場大型演練，保安局局長鄧炳強表示，整體運作暢順但有改善空間，例如部分地方指示不足等。他表示，當局已即時改善。

鄧炳強強調，不會為了貪快，在未準備好的情況下就開通口岸，稍後將與深圳方面進行聯合演練。
