EXCLUSIVE: Indonesian superstar singer and actress Agnez Mo, who recently made her English-language screen debut in season 4 of Amazon hit Reacher, has found her next English-language project.

Mo will take on her first on-screen English-language movie role in cyber thriller C.L.A.Y., joining Nicolas Cage, Michael Sheen, Jordi Mollà, Emilio Sakraya and Adrian Topol.

Production begins this November in London for Simon Afram’s directorial debut after he wrote and produced Simon West’s upcoming WWII spy film Fortitude.

C.L.A.Y. “follows a brilliant but socially invisible computer prodigy who finds purpose and belonging when he is drawn into C.L.A.Y. (Clowns Laughing At You), an underground hacker collective whose daring exploits turn digital provocation into real-world consequences. As the group’s notoriety grows, their actions attract the attention of intelligence agencies, criminal syndicates and rival hackers.”

Mo is a superstar singer in Indonesia (with 31M followers on instagram) and also has multiple U.S. Billboard hits to her name. She is now branching out into U.S. screen roles and is also part of the voice cast for animated movie Groove Tails with Ansel Elgort, Halle Bailey, Alan Ritchson and Ludacris.

“Agnez is a true global artist with an audience that spans continents. She is a captivating actress – fearless, intense and full of emotional depth. We are thrilled to welcome her to this extraordinary ensemble. She’s a perfect fit for the world of C.L.A.Y.,” said writer-director Simon Afram.

The film is produced by Afram alongside Georgette Turner (Fortitude), Edward Kahl (Queen of Manhattan), Reza Roohi (Fortitude) and Adrian (Faking Bullshit), with executive producers Bianca Goodloe (Mission: Impossible II), David Scaramanga (Fortitude), Cüneyt Kaya (Rising High) and Daniel Haido (Fortitude).

Casting is by Rich Mento (Warm Bodies), CSA. Bianca Goodloe Esq. at Goodloe Law is legal counsel for the production.
