Silo has entered a new streaming era on Apple TV by hitting a massive milestone ahead of its final season. Apple TV's roster of sci-fi TV shows has made it the perfect streaming home for the genre. While there have been other sci-fi hits elsewhere, like Netflix's Stranger Things and Black Mirror or HBO's Lanterns, Apple TV just remains consistent with its high volume of sci-fi shows and their cinematic quality. Additionally, the streamer explores many different subgenres, with Apple TV shows about the multiverse, alternate history, giant monsters, post-apocalyptic worlds, and many more. One of those hits is Silo.

Based on the Silo series of novels penned by Hugh Howey, the Apple TV dystopian sci-fi series has explored how Rebecca Ferguson's Juliette Nichols navigates life in a giant underground silo filled with around 10,000 citizens and its many secrets, including what has become of the outside world. Silo has released three seasons so far, with Silo season 3 having aired its finale recently, on September 4. Now, the dystopian sci-fi series gets ready to return to Apple TV with season 4, its final season, on July 9, 2027. Before that happens, Silo just hit a massive streaming milestone as excitement builds.

According to data from FlixPatrol, Silo just hit the impressive mark of 600 days on the Apple TV Top 10 TV Shows chart in the United States. Silo debuted on Apple TV all the way back on May 5, 2023, created by Graham Yost. Silo's current streak puts it ahead of a few other shows currently on Apple TV's nationwide top 10. That includes the fellow sci-fi series Dark Matter, with the multiverse show trending at 405 days, the Jon Hamm crime series Your Friends & Neighbors, at 331 days, the new Matthew Rhys horror comedy sensation Widow's Bay, at 176 days, and more.

Leading the charge is Ted Lasso, at a massive 999-day streak, with the sports comedy series led by Jason Sudeikis set to hit the gargantuan 1000-day mark this Friday, October 23, a couple of weeks after season 4 came to an end. As for these shows' positions on the Apple TV Top 10 TV Shows in the US, Silo currently stands as the streamer's 6th most-watched series, as per FlixPatrol. It leaves behind Small Prophets, Shrinking, Your Friends & Neighbors, and Servant. At the top of the list is the spy thriller series Slow Horses. Silo ranks 3rd worldwide on Apple TV, according to FlixPatrol.

How Does Season 3 Set Up The Sci-Fi Series' Ending?

Silo season 3 ended with a massive twist. After exploring the past and explaining the creation of the silos through flashback sequences, the season 3 finale ended with Ashley Zukerman's Daniel Keene, who goes now by Troy after forgetting who he was due to the drugs, having an emotional breakdown after reading the name of Jessica Henwick's Helen Drew. Parallel to that, Juliette and the others set their sights on a direct assault on Silo 1 despite having made a deal to keep Silo 18 safe for now. Silo season 4 will end the show with the silos clashing.
