Rayan came off the bench to score a stoppage time equaliser as Brazil scraped a 1-1 draw with Australia in their first match of the Queensland Football Series, here on Friday.
After a goalless first-half, Nestory Irakunda found the net for the Socceroos with a stunning strike from a free-kick in what was only the second goal by an Australian against Brazil since Shaun Murphy in 2001.

Though Brazil, fielding a full-strength side, tried to find a way back through its front four of Raphinha, Endrick, Vinicius Jr. and Estevao, the goal never arrived. Carlo Ancelotti then chose to bring on the Bournemouth forward for Estevao — a decision that ultimately helped the five-time world champion avoid an upset against a lower-ranked opponent.
The two teams will lock horns again, four days later in the second match of the Football Series, with Brazil scheduled to face India after that match, at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on October 3.
