Defending champion India faces Mongolia in the fourth round of the Women’s section at the Chess Olympiad 2026 in Samarkand on Saturday. The top-seeded Indian side has made a perfect start to its title defence, winning each of its opening three matches and collecting 11 board points along the way.
India, led by Koneru Humpy and also featuring R. Vaishali, Divya Deshmukh, Vantika Agrawal and B. Savitha Shri, will now face a 15th-seeded Mongolia side that has also won all three of its matches.
