Barca players came out in a jersey with the world ‘GOLF’ written on it, leaving fans confused about the reason.
Why is ‘GOLF’ written on the Barcelona jersey?
Barcelona has ‘GOLF’ written on its jersey as it is the logo for GOLF WANG (GOLF), the fashion and creative universe brand founded by the artist Tyler, The Creator.
“The North American musician and artist Tyler, The Creator is to feature on the Barça jersey for the Clásico on Sunday, 25 October. The logo for GOLF WANG (GOLF), the fashion and creative universe brand founded by him, will appear front and centre on the jersey,” Barcelona said in a statement.
“For the first time, Spotify has handed over full creative control to an artist and their brand for the associated audiovisual and graphic campaign. Tyler, The Creator is a North American artist, producer and designer who combines hip-hop with R&B, soul, funk and experimental sounds, allied with a very personal and creative aesthetic,” the club added.
