Phoebe Bridgers Rings in Spooky Season With ‘On Video,’ From the ‘Primetime’ Soundtrack

Phoebe Bridgers has released “On Video,” her excellent contribution to the Primetime soundtrack.

The song, a chilling rocker with dense guitar riffs that lurk in the distance, serves as the end title to Lance Oppenheim’s crime thriller. The Primetime soundtrack features an original score by Oppenheim’s longtime collaborator Ari Balouzian, including the recently-released “Savior.”

Bridgers makes her acting debut in Primetime, which is based on To Catch a Predator and its host Chris Hansen (played by Robert Pattinson). Bridgers portrays decoy Del Harvey, while Merritt Wever, Skyler Gisondo, and Alex Winter also star.

During a press conference at the Venice International Film Festival, where Primetime made its world premiere, Bridgers spoke about being apart of the project. “It was certainly super intimidating and when Lance asked me, I was like, ‘No way,’” she said. “But it turns out, working with incredible people actually makes it way easier. I thought I was going to wither with all of these guys. Instead, it was so fun and free.”

Bridgers is currently on tour in support of her new solo album Lost Weekend (like her pop-up shows earlier this summer, which included an evening at New York’s Madison Square Garden, the trek is phone-free). She enlisted her Primetime family for the “Lost Boys” video, recruiting Oppenheim to direct and Gisondo to play a gas station cashier-turned-knight in shining armor. The film hits theaters on Friday.
