Celeste Parr and Punctuation Media Sign With CAA (EXCLUSIVE)

Celeste Parr and her media company, Punctuation Media, have signed with CAA for representation.

Parr recently served as writer and showrunner for the third season of CBC’s “Plan B,” where she earned a 2026 Canadian Screen Award nomination for best drama series. She also created “Prejudice,” an upcoming legal drama starring Emily VanCamp and produced by Neshama Entertainment for Bell Media and Fox Entertainment.

Parr co-founded Punctuation Media in 2024 with senior media executive Oliver Kane. Based in Toronto, the company has a first-look deal with Bell Media and Blink49 Studios, which launched with Parr’s romantic thriller “We Never Happened,” which serves as the first in a slate of “globally minded” scripted series.

Parr’s second feature film, “Ethel,” starring Sarah Paulson and Shira Haas, is set for production in 2027. Haas plays Ethel Stark, the first conductor to lead an all-women’s symphony, the Montreal Women’s Symphony Orchestra, while Paulson stars as socialite Madge Bowen.

Per the film’s logline, “Ethel is a fierce talent; a musical prodigy determined to realize her talent and fulfill her dream. As with many trailblazers, she’s ahead of her time and must break through the social boundaries of the 1940s — a world which doesn’t recognize her talent, because she’s ‘only a woman.’ With her fiance now at war in Europe, Ethel feels alone and must go into battle by herself. But she is not alone: women just like her, from every walk of life, are struggling to be heard while they chase their own dreams.”
