Exclusive: Coronation Street star reveals who Sarah can't forgive in Kit and Bethany scandal

Coronation Street spoilers follow.
Coronation Street star Tina O'Brien has shared how she believes her character Sarah Platt will react when she finds out about her ex Kit Green sleeping with her daughter Bethany. Next week, Sarah will be on trial for the murder of Theo Silverton earlier this year.

Kit, who has recently been diagnosed with stage three breast cancer, slept with Bethany last month, just before he was given his diagnosis.
Speaking ahead of her massive week, Tina revealed who she believes Sarah wouldn't be able to forgive if the truth were to come out.
"I think her head’s going to fall off if she finds out," Tina said. "I mean, at the moment, obviously she really loves Kit. They were together for a little while, but I think that's a betrayal that's going to kill her.

"I think she's just going to feel so stupid and so blindsided by it by both of them. I'm not sure what's worse. I think she could always forgive Bethany because that's her child. I don't know if she can forgive Kit."
The revelation will surely affect Sarah and Bethany's close mother-daughter relationship, with Tina saying the storyline has been "hard to do".
"I honestly love Lucy [Fallon, who plays Bethany]," Tina added. "I love working her so much. We’ve got a shorthand now that’s just so easy, so yeah that’s hard. I’m assuming it will eventually come out."

Sarah's trial will see her try and prove she killed Theo in self defence but she's currently struggling to get key witnesses Todd and Kit to show up for her.
Speaking about what advice she'd give Sarah, Tina said: "Tell the truth more. I genuinely do believe that she did act in self-defence. I think that if she'd have come out and said what had happened, she wouldn’t be in this mess.
"I understand why she kept it quiet, but by lying and covering it up, she’s made things 100 times worse than it needed to be. I'd also tell her that maybe the people she thinks she can trust, she can’t."
Coronation Street airs on weeknights at 8.30pm on ITV1 and streams on ITVX.
