Caloocan LGU offers free mental health services to constituents

MANILA, Philippines — Constituents of Caloocan City can avail themselves of free mental health screening and consultation and other services to take care of their well-being.
According to the Caloocan City Public Information Office (PIO), the Caloocan City Calm Space is located on the 5th floor of Caloocan City Hall – South and is operational from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Caloocan City PIO said that the Caloocan City Calm Space “is a mental wellness lounge that serves as a sanctuary for those who need to relax, clear their mind, share their thoughts, and seek help from the mental health professionals.”

Mayor Along Malapitan said that the mental health services are important to address relevant concerns in the country, particularly the youth.
“In observance of the Mental Health Awareness Month, we are inviting everyone to join the free activities and avail the free services from our newly opened facility,” Malapitan said.
“Our Calm Space has specialists that are willing to listen and provide guidance, especially to those who are under emotional and psychological distress,” he added. /das
