Legend Of Zelda: Skyward Sword Returns In New October 2026 Collection

The Legend of Zelda is going through a really exciting time in its history right now, and it's difficult to think of a series that's more deserving of its big moment in the sunshine. It has officially been 40 years since it first teetered onto our screens with far fewer pixels than it has now, and Nintendo hasn't really looked back since.

Over that time, we've had some genuinely all-time great games, some of which have a genuine right to argue that they are the best examples of the genre in history. Whatever your pick happens to be, it would be my personal contention that Skyward Sword is the most underrated of the bunch. Happily, it might not be for too much longer, as it appears alongside the classics in a new physical release for fans.

Takara Tomy/Nintendo

As first reported by Siliconera, manufacturer Takara Tomy has confirmed a new official collaboration with the franchise, in a new The Legend of Zelda Historical Charms collection. These accessories are designed to be used as personal markers on items or as keychains, and they all feature a triforce design, within which is a unique character from 12 of the biggest games in the series to date.

The full list of games included in the new range is as follows:

• The Legend of Zelda
• Zelda II: The Adventure of Link
• Zelda: A Link to the Past
• Zelda: Ocarina of Time
• Zelda: Majora’s Mask
• Zelda: The Wind Waker
• Zelda: Twilight Princess
• Zelda: Skyward Sword
• Zelda: Breath of the Wild
• Zelda: Link’s Awakening Remake
• Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom
• Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom

That covers an enormous portion of the existing Zelda timeline, and there should be a little something for everyone in that full range. The only issue with getting your hands on the ones you want is that they are only available via Gachapon machines in Japan, meaning there is a certain random nature to getting your hands on the product.

At 300 yen (~$2), the outlay isn't very significant, though expect to get plenty of doubles on your way to securing the full range (if that's something you desire to have in your collection.

Nintendo

Outside of that, there are a ton of very exciting projects coming soon that should keep fans of The Legend of Zelda in business for a long time to come yet. The headline act is absolutely the Ocarina of Time remake, which is scheduled to drop in November, before the movie adaptation picks up the reins in 2027 and gives us a look at the series in a whole new medium. Don't rule out older games coming to Nintendo Switch Online at some point too, as we all keep our fingers crossed for that Wind Waker/Twilight Princess double pack.
