Nana Patekar, India’s Natsamrat, dies of cardiac arrest at 75; to get full state honours

Veteran actor Nana Patekar passed away at 5:20 AM on Thursday after suffering a cardiac arrest at his residence in Goa’s Dona Paula. Despite 45 minutes of continuous CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation), he could not be revived. He was rushed to Manipal Hospital in Dona Paula around 5.20 am, but could not be revived.
“A medico-legal case (MLC) has been registered, and a post-mortem will be conducted,” Dr Shekhar Salkar, Chief of Oncology Department, Manipal Hospital, was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
