Shah Rukh Khan’s next big-screen outing, King, has been the subject of considerable curiosity, especially as fans await the film’s first official asset. There has also been speculation that the film will be sandwiched between Avengers: Doomsday and Dune Part 3, with both films releasing around the same time. Shah Rukh Khan humorously put those concerts to rest, saying,  “hum toh center ki tasty Tikki hain.” His comment suggests that King is not backing down from the Hollywood releases and will stick to its scheduled date.

The actor has confirmed that the action-adventure film is still on track for its scheduled release. During his latest #AskSRK session on X, Shah Rukh Khan confirmed that King will arrive in theaters on December 24, 2026, making it clear that the film has not been pushed to a later date.

King Makers Are Working On The First Asset

While fans continue to ask for a glimpse of the film, SRK said they will have to wait a little longer. Responding to a fan, he explained that the team is taking time to work on the film and its promotional material.

SRK wrote, “Sid toh bechara laga hua hai. Late bhai hain…taking time to put our best foot forward so u all enjoy it and feel proud and happy with #King”

When a fan asked to at least release the trailer, he assured that the trailer would come later. He pointed out that there is still time before the film reaches theaters and asked fans to be patient, as the 100-day countdown begins. He wrote, “Abhi sirf baat karunga Trailer baad mein…. film

For now, the confirmation settles the release-date speculation surrounding King. The film remains scheduled to hit theaters on December 24, 2026, while the makers continue working on the first asset.
