Two of Coronation Street's biggest villains reportedly dating in real life after huge storylines

Two of Coronation Street's biggest villains have reportedly been enjoying a string of dates away from the set. Beth Nixon, who played paedophile Megan Walsh on the ITV soap, has allegedly sparked up a relationship with James Cartwright, who played Todd Grimshaw's abusive boyfriend Theo Silverton.

The Sun reports that the pair have been spotted together on several occasions.

Last month, Beth and James walked the red carpet together at the Cure Usher Ball in Manchester before sitting at a table next to each other.

They later posed for pictures with Emmerdale's Michelle Hardwick and her wife, Kate Brooks.

The reported lovebirds were also snapped enjoying a weekend away together in Belfast, as well as spotted together at a special event for The Archers radio show.

It comes after it was revealed Beth's character Megan would return to Corrie to explore another chapter in her harrowing abuse storyline.

Megan first appeared in the soap last year as a PE teacher, striking up a close relationship with student Will Driscoll.

The teacher began to sexually groom Will, manipulating him to keep the abuse a secret for months.

Will's loved ones uncovered what had been happening to him and reported Megan to the police, with her eventually being sent to prison.

An insider told us: "Will has been trying to get his life back on track after everything that Megan did. Whether he's the one who comes face-to-face with her, or whether someone from his family will be interacting with Megan remains to be seen.

"Bosses were impressed by Beth's work on the big storyline, so it's no surprise to see her back so soon."

Elsewhere in the soap, James' character Theo was murdered, with it later being revealed that Sarah Platt had pushed him to his death.

Sarah was arrested for the murder, with her trial set to take place.
